Note: this page provides information on making your booking, making payments, opening times, and room layout
To start a booking, click any of the Hallmaster booking links on the Hub homepage or click the button below. You will see a calendar of forthcoming events. Use the options to go forward and backward to the appropriate week and click the "+" on the appropriate day. If there is no "+" symbol on a particular day, then that day is fully booked or not available for bookings:
Request a booking (via Hallmaster)
Initially you will need to log-in, or, if you are a new customer, enter your details to create a Hallmaster account.
The first part of the booking form (below) only appears if you are a new user and have not yet verified your email address. The second (pink) box appears if you attempt to skip ahead without first completing the email verification.
Next you will need to add an event name, number attenting (compulsory), and choose start/end times. Buffers of 30 mins before and after the booked timeslot will be added automatically*. The estimated hire charge shown here is preliminary.
*Buffers are not part of your booking and are not charged. They provide space between bookings for arrival and departure.
Next you will need to tick/enter the following:
Recurring booking: Tick here if you wish the booking to recurr (e.g. weekly on a Tuesday) and enter the number of "Additional dates" (in addition to the first one) on which you want the event to recurr* (or leave as 0).
Booking type (IMPORTANT): Choose the most appropriate option (the one that best describes you/your event).
*After entering these details, you can scroll down the list of "Recurring dates" to delete any that are not needed; for example, if you wish to delete a date that falls into a holiday.
Add any extra items you need (currently, these are use of the AV system, and to have the room layout reconfigured for you before and after your event):
Next you must complete the following as appropriate:
Description: For public events, this text will be seen by the public, so add appropriate details, such as what participants need to do to join the activity, or what they might need to bring.
Privacy: Choose "Public" here for your event to appear in public lists of forthcoming events, which will also provide links to your "Description" information (above), or choose "Private" for the event name and other details to be hidden.
Special Requirements: Add any queries or information here that you wish to be seen by the Hub administrators only. An administrator will contact you to to respond to these before confirming your booking.
Finally, add your answers to the following questions (all compulsory). This now includes an important room layout question. The final estimated hire charge will be displayed*.
*Any additional discount for "regular" bookings (see Charges Summary) will be applied later by an administrator when confirming your booking.
We kindly request that payments are made online. We use Square (an online payment provider) to make payment as easy as possible.
Your payment link will be emailed to you along with your invoice (your invoice email will be sent after your booking has been accepted). Click the payment link and you will be taken to an online payment gateway, where you can choose various ways to pay, including Debit Card or Credit Card.
Payment by this method means your booking is confirmed immediately because Square automatically confirms payment with your Hallmaster account. Please pay as soon as possible (and within the 7 day standard term) to fully confirm your booking. Note that payment is due immediately for bookings that take place less than 7 days from the date of invoice.
The Hub is available for bookings from 9am to 11pm Monday to Saturday and from 1pm to 10pm on Sundays. Sunday mornings (until 1pm) can only be booked by contacting one of the Church Wardens or a Hub Administrator.
Note that bookings can only be requested 48 hrs BEFORE the booking is due to take place (to allow time to confirm availability, arrange for any special requirements, and for online payment - if applicable - to be made and confirmed).
Please contact us for urgent bookings or information on combined church and hub hire.
We have added a required "Room layout" question to our booking system. The default layout is always "cafe-style" (see main page for layout options) and you are welcome to rearrange the layout yourself to suit your booking, provided the layout is returned to cafe-style before you leave.
Alternatively, you can now choose from three optional layouts and have one of these set-up for you (and the room reconfigured back to cafe-style afterwards) for an extra fee per booking (currently £25). If you would like to request this, please remember to add the "room set-up charge" from the list of "line items" when requesting your booking (see above).
Regardless of booking type or layout option chosen, a 30 minute buffer is always provided before and after each booking, which enables you to set-up the room as you wish and to tidy/clean the room (as appropriate) before and after your event.
